The Olympia Architectural
Review Committee (ARC), with the approval from the Olympia Homeowners Assn. (OHA)
Board of Trustees, has established the following procedure for the installation
of windows, front entry doors and garage
doors on individual homes. Any homeowner
considering the installation of new windows or doors must observe the following
procedure.
1.
Submit an
“Application for Modification to Your Home” form to the ARC. These forms are available on the resident
rack, across from the library in the clubhouse, or are available on the
website: www.olympiahoa.com
2.
Windows –
exterior trim on windows must be a color similar to the exterior of the home.
3.
Front Entry Doors
a. Contact the ARC prior to ordering a replacement door
b. Must be a style and color that maintains harmony with
other homes in Olympia
c. Oil based paints in the following colors have been
approved:
§ Sherwin Williams paints: Rocky Coast (#2001), Stepping Stone (#2089,
Uniform Blue (#2271), Barn Red (#2307)
§ Benjamin Moore paints:
Yellow (#325), Dark Green (#644)
4.
Screen and Storm
Doors
a. Screen and storm doors are optional
b. If a homeowner chooses to have screen or storm doors,
they are to be full view screen and/or window
c. Bars are not permitted on these doors. If homeowner believes there is reasonable
cause for bar installation, ARC and OHA Board of Trustees approval must be
given prior to installation.
5.
Garage Doors
a. Must be painted the approved color for the exterior of
the home: Sherwin Williams Woodscapes Exterior
Acrylic House Stain, in Belvedere Tan (SW#3002).
b. Garage doors in Olympia must be four panels, with no
windows.
6.
Contractors must
be licensed and registered with the City of Strongsville
7.
After receiving
approval from the ARC and the OHA Board of Trustees, the homeowner must obtain
a building permit from the City of Strongsville. Permit forms are available at the
Strongsville City Service Building, located on Foltz Parkway.
